An exquisite Arts & Crafts movement brooch made in England in the turn of the 20th century. The style is unmistakably Pre Rafaelite inspired, featuring a finely detailed floral and foliate border, realistic (if not perhaps a little idealised) hair, fabric, and facial features, and all crafted in rich yellow gold.
